Reedsburg Club's History
In September 2017, the organization opened its third location in the town of Reedsburg in a renovated hardware store. The community sought out Boys & Girls Clubs of West-Central Wisconsin when they began envisioning a Club to serve the youth in their community. In June 2016, Club leadership met with community members to discuss financially what it would take to support the building and opening of the Club, as well as long-term sustainability. In order to make the Club come to fruition, the community would need to raise $150,000. A local philanthropist, after feeling moved when hearing the mission and need for the Club, offered to match community donations, dollar for dollar, up to $75,000. On December 22, just six months after that initial meeting, the Club celebrated exceeding that goal and unlocking that match gift. The Club opened its doors to youth in September 2017. Since opening, membership has skyrocketed beyond any projections.
Exciting Growth:
On May 4, 2021, the Club held a Grand Opening of its new Reedsburg Teen Center, provided by River Birch Investments, its Founding Donor Recognition Wall and the new Club Playground.
Cause for Celebration:
We are in our 5th year of serving the youth of Reedsburg. Much of our focus in the coming year will be celebrating that fact.

Reedsburg Teen Center
Hub of Inspiration Vision & Excellence
Presented by River Birch Investments
With a safe space and positive mentors to guide them, Reedsburg's youth will exceed beyond the circumstances that surround them and meet the challenges of employers who are reimagining the future of jobs in our community and the world. It is this vision that led to the establishing of the Reedsburg Teen Center - HIVE: Hub of Inspiration Vision & Excellence. The organization put a fresh twist on The Hive, which used to be the teen center decades ago in Reedsburg.
Founding Donor Recognition Wall
The donor wall was unveiled in acknowledgement of the individuals and organizations whose generosity through a gift in 2016 and 2017 helped to make the Boys & Girls Clubs of West-Central Wisconsin – Reedsburg Club a reality, allowing it to open its doors on September 5, 2017.
Club Playground
Through the generous support of the W.R. & Floy A. Sauey Family Foundation, the Club began to develop a vision for a new outdoor play space for Club members last year. With a vision in mind, the Club submitted a proposal for consideration to a national funder, KABOOM! The Club was selected to receive these funds through KABOOM!'s Let's Play initiative. Let’s Play is a community partnership led by Keurig Dr Pepper to get kids and families to play nationwide. The Club was selected to receive a grant and this past April the new playground was installed.
