For many summer is a time to unwind and enjoy the nice weather (while it lasts).
For Boys & Girls Club staff summer is our busy season. Our doors open early to keep kids engaged and learning all day long.
When you support the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Wisconsin it means YOU are helping youth develop skills for tomorrow while meeting kids immediate needs this summer. As you consider which non-profit organizations to support this summer, we encourage you to consider making a donation to our It Just Takes One campaign which will help us cover the cost associated with keeping kids learning this summer.
The It Just Takes One campaign reminds us of the importance of that one person or one act of kindness can have on an entire community. Every day our staff, volunteers and board members strive to ensure youth have access to high-quality out-of-school time programs. While our mission is big and our work is mighty, it's really the one-on-one connection that keeps us going. It's that one person who made us feel special and capable. Or it's the one nice word of recognition or encouragement at the end of a long day that can turn our day around. It Just Takes One. That's the idea, It Just Takes One person to remind us how wonderful life can be. And for us, that ONE person is YOU!
Here is what a donation to our It Just Takes One campaign can do…
- $1,200 covers the true cost of club membership for one youth for the school year (Families pay $24 per child for the school year).
- $1,000 covers the costs of one teen to engage in one of our signature programs like Bloom for Gals or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
- $750 covers the cost or art supplies for one week of summer program.
- $600 covers the cost of a scholarship for one youth to attend our summer program.
- $250 covers a weeks’ worth of snacks for one club.
