The Boys & Girls Clubs of West-Central Wisconsin offer a wide variety of programs to our members each and every day.  Many of our programs are tried and true curriculum from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America; utilizing over 100 years of experience, dedication and know how.  These programs are tested, proven, and recognized nationally to address today’s most pressing youth issues and teach young people the skills they need to succeed in life.

In addition to running BGCA National Programs, our Clubs offer a well rounded variety of programs unique to each location.  These programs are designed to further promote Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and/or Good Character and Citizenship; while maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere.  See below for further information on specific programs offered of visit our “Clubs” section to view specific Club calendars.


This homework help initiative is available to all members Monday thru Friday. One-on-one and small group tutoring is available. If members do not have any school work to complete, they are encouraged to read or participate in other educational activities.

Project Learn
Project Learn reinforces the academic enrichment and school engagement of young people during the time they spend at the Club utilizing high-yield learning activities such as: leisure reading, writing activities, discussions with knowledgeable adults, helping others, tutoring and games (such as Scrabble), and others that develop young people’s cognitive skills.

Summer Brain Gain
Summer learning loss has a devastating effect on America’s kids, especially those who don’t participate in enriching summer activities. That’s why Boys & Girls Clubs of America is pleased to present Summer Brain Gain – a fun, interactive learning program designed for summer in the Club!

DIY STEM / Wacky Science
Do It Yourself STEM (AKA Wacky Science) brings all the fun of scientific exploration into members hands as they work with peers to create cool artifacts that demonstrate scientific principles!

Career Launch
This fun and exciting program, sponsored by Bank of America and Gap Foundation, prepares teens for the world of careers and work. Through CareerLaunch, Club teens 13-18 years old embark on a journey to explore possible vocations, make sound educational decisions and find success in the world of work.

Money Matters
Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13-18 by building their basic money management skills. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college.

Graduate for Más
Graduate for Más is a program track offered to Club members in partnership with Taco Bell Foundation, as an extension of Taco Bell Foundation’s national initiative that provides tools and resources to teens while tracking their progress toward graduation and life goals.

Keystone Club
Keystone is Boys & Girls Club of America’s (BGCA) premiere teen character and citizenship program. Keystone Clubs are service and leadership clubs for young people ages 14-18. This unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for youth to participate in activities in four focus areas: community service, academic success, career preparation and teen outreach.

Junior Leaders/Junior Staff
The Jr. Leader program is open to members ages ages 13-18.  This program takes members through the process of applying for a job, interviewing, and exploring a career in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work.

Torch Club
A leadership group for ages 11-13. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community, education, health and fitness and social recreation

Youth of the Year
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Club members who earn the youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service; academic excellence; and healthy lifestyles.

Healthy Habits: A Triple Play Program
Designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience, Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being. 

League of Extraordinary Gentleman
League of Extraordinary Gentleman promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 12 to 18. LOEG consists of 14 sessions, each concentrating on a specific aspect of character and manhood through highly interactive activities

An outgrowth of the popular and effective SMART Moves program, SMART Girls is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8 to 17.

Triple Play: Mind, Body, Soul
Triple Play, a comprehensive health and wellness program, strives to improve the overall health of Club members, ages 6-18 by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships.

WANNA PLAY? encourages youth ages 6 to 12 to increase their overall fitness and health through physical activity and improved nutrition education, while learning the fundamental skills of baseball and softball.

Club Boxing
Club Boxing is a teen (13-18 years old) program focusing on fitness and the fundamentals of boxing.  With practices twice a week, Club members will work out together as they build confidence and learn the discipline and art of Boxing.  This program highlights safety and features a yearly showcase “Fight Night”.

National Fine Arts
This year-round program encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 7 to 18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture displayed at local and regional exhibits

Image Makers
This year-round program encourages Club members ages 7 to 18 to learn and practice black-and-white, color, digital and alternative process photography.

Boys & Girls Club Baraboo Harmonix Show Choir

BGC Baraboo Harmonix Show Choir
The first ever Boys & Girls Club Show Choir.  Open to all High School students in the Baraboo School District, this program is a full on competitive show choir that travels throughout the midwest to compete.
